Job Description
Triformix, Inc., a leading manufacturer of precision optical components, is searching for a Process Development Manager
to join its team. In this position, you will work in a Product Development center located in Santa Rosa, California, reporting
to the Director of Operations.
The Process Development Manager’s focus will be:
Develop and refine engineering and production processes to meet Triformix standards. Ensure that new products are effectively transferred off-shore to the company’s CM.
Develop new capabilities that can improve the competitive edge for Triformix.
Manage a staff of engineers and technicians.
- Manage development programs and coordinate resources internally across the organization and with external suppliers.
- Manage various aspects of Engineering projects, including product prototyping, product and process development, pilot production and CM transfer activities.
- Ensure new product developments adhere to the Triformix Design Review process.
- Assure that any production requirements are met.
- Five or more years experience with injection molding process qualifications including mold trials, process optimization, product conformance and acceptance.
- Three or more years hands-on experience in program management from concept through production.
- BS/MS in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Ten or more years progressive experience in high-tech manufacturing.
- Optical product experience highly desirable.
- Self-starter, ability to complete projects on-time without daily management.
- Solid Quality Assurance background and understanding of ISO standards.
- Working knowledge of SQC,SPC,DOE and Cpk.
