Job Description
The Tooling Engineer will manage new mold builds to support new products and increase capacity for existing products. This person will work closely with vendors to support delivery schedules and interface with key internal technical resources to maximize molds capabilities. Some travel required.

Duties

• Manage new mold builds with vendors.
• Maintain mold standards.
• Maintain revision control on mold and insert prints.
• Systematize spare purchasing and inventory for production mold.
• Work closely with process engineers, mold makers, mold maintenance and others to continually improve designs.
• Contribute to mold technology improvements.
• Provide documented feedback to tooling and related suppliers for quality, on time delivery and price.

Attributes

• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in the design of injection molds.
• Self-starter, ability to complete projects on-time without daily management.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong injection molding experience.
• In depth knowledge and application of mold architectures and molding equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of tool steels and coatings.
